| Abstrakt: | The article presents the author's insights on talk show radio host Tammy Bruce's appraisal of new first lady Michelle Obama as trash in the White House during "The Laura Ingraham Show." She cites the racial logic invoked by Bruce's insult and relates it with the slur white trash. She notes the criticisms on Obama's domestic style and her fashion statement compared to previous spouses of American Presidents. She also comments on the racism and classism in the political culture in the U.S. |
