Abstrakt: The article discusses a study which examined the effectiveness of intimate partner violence (IPV) screening and positive results communication to clinicians. The study included 6,743 English-speaking female patients, aged 18 to 54 years from different medical facilities in Ontario. Study participants who reported previous IPV were interviewed every six months until 18 months regarding reexposure to IPV and quality of life. Researchers concluded that their findings do not offer sufficient evidence to support the use of IPV screening in health care settings.
