The article offers information on several destinations in Wisconsin suitable for weekend trips. The site 12 in Newport State Park at the tip of the Door Peninsula offers a wilderness campsite that faces sunrise over Lake Michigan. All 18 sites near the near the tip of the Door Peninsula are private and separated and every site is suitable for hiking and biking, via easy trails through northern hardwoods and forests. The sites offer solitude environment. |
