Considers instantaneous shear stress fluctuations for high-Reynolds-number turbulent flow field using the concept of maximum norm, the Largest change within a box of a given size. Application of the technique to a variety of flow fields and a wide range of Reynolds numbers; Power law behavior of maximum norm with the size of the box. |
