A Child's First Dental Visit: A Protocol.

Abstrakt: The article presents a general analysis of a child's visit to a dentist. The traditional age of a child to visit a dentists is considered as three years. At a clinic, the dentist first examines the hands in the visual field of the child. The physical examination of neck, head and intraoral structures is similar to that examined by a physician, much greater emphasis is placed on dental, occlusal and intraoral soft tissue findings. It is opined that during examination of a child the dentist always look for signs of physical abuse.
