The article focuses on the reasons behind back pain of dental students. The author says that incidence of back trouble among dentists is very high and various factors have been incriminated for it. He says that among these factors equipment design is most prominent. The author says extensive surveys concerning the incidence of backpain among dentists and how certain factors, such as posture and equipment design, may influence them, have been carried out and have produced fairly conclusive results. The author states that in his experience almost all dental students accept the pain as part and parcel of their profession. |
