Abstrakt:	The article highlights the case of a 41-year-old woman who developed faecal peritonitis. The said patient was presented with a history of morbid obesity and acute fulminant ulcerative colitis and has underwent laparotomy and colectomy. As indicated, wound dehiscence complicates the postoperative period, but was successfully treated with Vacuum Assisted Closure (VAC) abdominal dressing system.
