The article presents a case study of a 38 year old woman who collapsed while working in a hospital laundry and was taken to the hospital's emergency room in an unconscious state. A discussion of diagnostic testing which was conducted on the resulted in a diagnosis of hyoptensive shock that had been brought on by menstruation is presented. The woman's medical care and eventual return to good health are discussed. |
