The article discusses several major achievements of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography as a research institution in the Russian Academy of Sciences. It explores the managerial capabilities, interests, and achievements of A.P. Okladnikov, a head of the Institute, a prominent historian and archaeologist who was among the pioneers of basic research in the humanities in Asian part of Russia and one of the famous experts in Asian antiquities, which considered to be linked on the Institute's accomplishment. Meanwhile, it notes that encouraging the collaborative efforts of specialists from different branches of archaeological research and to elaborate on methods for the study of the history of human will lead the future development of the Institute. |
