Abstrakt: The article discusses the Scythian logos in the Book Four of "The History" by Herodotus. Herodotus describes the Scythian tribes inhabiting the region north of the Black Sea. It is stated that the Scythian logos contains a detailed description of the Scythian burial rite. It is indicated that the facts about the Scythian logos was originated no later than the early fifth century and was practiced only by the Asian nomads. It shows that despite their having a common mythological basis, the ritual life of European and Asian nomads was very different.
