Abstrakt: The article presents stress analysis to compare the distribution of peri-implant stresses transmitted by four different osseointegrated implant designs. The four osseointegrated implants used in the analysis are Core-Vent from Core-Vent Corp., Integral from Calcitek Inc., IMZ from Interpore International and Screw-Vent from Core-Vent Corp. In the analysis Core-Vent and Screw-Vent designs were found to be more effective in reducing stress level in the marginal bone areas. On the other hand, IMZ and Integral designs were found to be effective in reducing stress magnitude along the implant/bone interface.
