Abstrakt: The article focuses on a study relating to an in vitro investigation assessing the reliability of periodontal pocket depth measurements with a computerized periodontal probe (CPP). It mentions that the reliability of the CPP was tested, and a comparison with the traditional Williams probe was conducted. The study found that the in vitro model of the periodontal pocket eliminates many sources of error in measurements of probing depth, and is a reliable tool to assess possible problems in using a new probe. It also states that the complicated equipment of the CPP does not lead to wastage of time.
