| Abstrakt: |
The article focuses on a study regarding dimensional changes which occur in the periodontium of patients treated for moderately advanced and advanced periodontal disease. It describes the materials and methods used in the study, and informs about the treatment procedures followed on patients involved in the study. It concludes that the six different treatment processes led to similar dimensional alterations of the periodontal structure. The conclusions also lead to questioning of the concept that additional treatment procedures employed following proper healing of the disease will result in different degrees of root exposure and residual probing pocket depth. |
