| Abstrakt: |
The article focuses on research regarding the use of apically positioned flaps in overdentures. In a study, few changes were found in 104 overdentures over a two-year period. The health of overdenture abutments was found to be affected by inflammation. The authors cite studies related to the use of apically positioned flaps as an alternative to excessive gingival augmentation. The technical and conceptual basis for the systematic use of autogenous gingival grafts have been documented by periodontal researchers. |
