Abstrakt:	This article presents information about instructing students in athletic trainer programs about the political processes associated with the regulation of the professional practice of athletic trainers. The article also discusses important pending legislation and lawsuits regarding such professional practice and regulation. Suggestions are made to educators to help students become involved in political activities that strengthen the profession.
