The article presents information on a survey which identifies the types of fractures occurring in removable partial dentures and the kind of repair needed, and to relate the fracture type to some denture characteristics. The survey utilized a questionnaire that was submitted to three dental laboratories. It analyzes the data collected using percentage frequencies and the chi-square test. It explains the frequencies for the repair method employed for the metal-based removable partial dentures. It reveals the difference in fracture prevalence between acrylic resin-based and metal-based partial dentures. |
