Abstrakt: The article presents an in vitro study of the morphology of the margins and marginal fit of onlays made with three different dental porcelains. The porcelain used included a cast ceramic that needed special equipment while the other two were based on conventional porcelain baked on refractory dies. Several issues with porcelain inlays/onlays were considered, including control of porcelain contraction, the impact of porcelain brittleness on accurate assessment and the inability to spread composite resin cement in a thin layer.
