The article presents information on precision soldering techniques in dental implants. Dental implants are used to provide support, retention, and stability for dental prostheses in edentulous patients and as well as for extraoral prostheses. It is stated that the fabrication of implant-supported prostheses is challenge for dentists. A reinforced solder joint is formed by using electrical discharge machining (EDM) for creating divergent recesses on the implant framework. It is stated that reinforced solder joints can be used to correct misfit of the dental framework. |
