Abstrakt: The article presents a study which examines the antiplatelet impact of piplartine which is an alkamide isolated from Piper tuberculatum. It states that the in-vitro antiplatelet effect of piplartine isolated from the roots of P. tuberculatum on human platelet aggregation induced in platelet-rich plasma by the agonists collagen was evaluated. Results show that the mechanism in the piplartine antiplatelet action was related to the inhibition of cyclooxygenase activity.
