Abstrakt:	The article provides an outlined forecast of the banking industry in Mexico in 2009. According to the article, the total assets, loans, and deposits of the country's banking sector through December 2007 increased by the rates of 15%, 23%, and 16% in terms of local currency. At the end of 2008, the country ranks 31st in terms of loan/deposit ratio, 29th in terms of loan/asset ratio, and 56th in terms of loan/gross domestic product ratio.
