Increased Risk of Testicular Germ Cell Cancer Among Infertile Men.

Abstrakt: The article features the research conducted by researchers Thomas J. Walsh and colleagues regarding the health implication of testicular cancer to men in the U.S. It states that testicular germ celi cancer is the most common type of cancer that inflicted young men in industrialized countries. Researchers did a total of 51,461 assessment for infertile couples from 1967 to 1997 and compared it with the incidence in an age-matched sample of men from the general population using the Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results program. Result reveals that men with male factor infertility have an increased risk of developing a testicular cancer due to the existence of common etiologic factors for infertility and testicular cancer.
