Abstrakt:	Chapter I of the book "The Curlytops and Their Playmates or Jolly Times Through the Holidays," is presented. It relates that Theodore Baradale "Ted" Martin and his sister Janet were named "Curlytops" because of their curly, golden hair, and they were able to set up the toboggan slide with the help of their playmates, Tom Taylor and his sister Lola. It also outlines how the children enjoyed playing with the tobbogan slide through a candle wax.
