Presents a method that reduces the thermal contribution by many orders of magnitude, based on the irradiation of the sample with two interfering laser beams. Role of the thermal noise in limiting the use of light modulation when very high spatial resolution; Reduction of the thermal expansion at the modulation frequency. |
