| Abstrakt: |
The article reports on the results of research which was conducted in an effort to ascertain whether patients with periodontal disease would show any antinuclear antibodies, and specifically anti-deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) or anti-ribonucleic acid (RNA) antibodies. Researchers incubated serum from periodontal patients with solutions that had DNA or RNA in them. They found antibodies in four of the five patients who had their serum incubated with the acids. |
