Abstrakt: The article discusses research that examined the saliva-stimulating properties of paraffin when the substance is chewed. They discuss the design of the experiment which involved an individual chewing a piece of paraffin for three hours. The findings indicated that the paraffin, when chewed, absorbed organic material from saliva. They believe additional paraffin research should examine its ability to absorb mucin.
