Abstrakt: Blood clot evolution was studied in the molar root canals of 43 rats. After seven days, newly formed tissue replaced the clot, with increasing deposition of calcified masses. When fracture of the crown occurred, exposure to oral fluids induced necrosis of this new tissue, with subsequent periapical tissue reaction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
