Abstrakt:	The article presents the results of a study which investigated the usefulness of creating periodontal pockets in dogs in order to experiment with treatments for periodontal disease. An overview of the procedure used is presented. It is said that histologic sections obtained from the animals were found to be similar to those derived from humans.
