Abstrakt: The article presents a study examining the spectral characteristics of luminescence in rat teeth and bones which was brought about as a result of dosage with tetracycline. The basis of the study upon the premise of a direct relation between the degree of tetracycline staining and the intensity of fluorescence is mentioned. It is mentioned that the variables of dosage strength, time, and genetics of the subjects remain constant in order for the direct relation to remain true. Also mentioned is the fact that the aforementioned conditions would cause a situation in which changes in luminescent intensity could only be brought about by structural differences within the tetracycline molecule.
