Abstrakt: The author reflects on his ordeal of setting up a railway around an old oak tree in his backyard. He notes that acorns would drop intermittently along the railroad tracks that he laid on two levels of landscape block. He relates that the tracks began tilting to the outside of the landscape blocks as the oak tree's roots and trunk became wider through the years.
