The article discusses Pakistan, examining the ingredients necessary to make a sound and coherent strategy foreign policy towards the country. An informed understanding of Pakistan's history is necessary to formulate such a policy, the article states, as well as an understanding of the country's political dynamics and key personalities. Other topics include the hazardous security situation in much of the country, the Afghan-Pakistani tribal belt, and international military operations designed to destroy al-Qaeda. |
