Abstrakt: Parainfluenza virus is a major cause of respiratory illness in humans, manifesting from mild upper respiratory tract infection to bronchiolitis and pneumonia, especially in children. We report – to our knowledge – the first case of a nonimmunocompromised adult patient with human parainfluenza type 2 supraglottitis immediately after returning from China. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
