| Abstrakt: |
The article reports on a study which examined the cornification of oral mucosa in young men. The study found two cell types on the tongue and buccal mucosa and a differentiated cell type in the gingivae. Topics include the technique for identifying a cornification pattern and the use of the direct smear Papanicolaou method. Research on exfoliative cytology and keratinization is reviewed. |
