The article offers updates from the Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center California. The last avalanche advisory for the 2007/08 winter season was issued by the center on May 28, 2008. The months of March and April 2008 were unseasonably cool and windy while spring snowmelt was delayed by several weeks. Three storms that resulted in three large and destructive avalanche cycles comprised almost 50% of the season's snowfall. |
