Abstrakt: This article summarizes research on the effects of the fully human monoclonal antibody denosumab (Dmab) with huRANKL knockin mice. The article concludes that the mouse is a new tool that can be used to examine the effects of RANKL inhibition in preclinical models. This will help in the comparison and contrast of the mechanistic differences between anticatabolic therapies in models of metabolic and malignant bone disease and with regard to bone repair and bone remodeling.
