Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study of the synthesis of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) by fluidized bed chemical vapor deposition. The basis of the study upon the modified bubbling-bed Kato and Wen model is noted. The method of synthesis is described, which uses catalytic chemical vapor deposition with ethylene as the source of carbon and Fe/Al2O3 as the catalyst. Numerical studies of the influence of the main operating parameters on several aspects of the process including the evolutions with time of the species molar fractions, the weight of the created MWCNTs, and the bed characteristics are also performed. |
