Abstract N-Phenacyl salts of acetyl-, benzoyl-, and methylanabasine were synthesized for the first time. Their reactions with unsaturated carbonyl compounds of the ethylene and acetylene series and acrylonitrile were studied. Methods for the synthesis of 6- and 8-(2-piperidyl)indolizines were developed.
