Abstrakt:	Abstract  The electroreduction of 4-(1-adamantyl)-2-(alkylsulfonyl)pyridines and 2-(1-adamantyl)-4-(tert-butylsulfonyl)pyridine was studied by polarography and preparative electrolysis on the mercury cathode at various compositions of the supporting electrolyte. Under the preparative electrolysis conditions, the CPy-S bond is predominantly cleaved to form the corresponding adamantylpyridines. The conditions for selective electrochemical desulfurization were found. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
