Abstrakt: The article describes a method of keeping benchdogs in place with the use of rare-earth magnets into each side of the rectangular dog. According to the article, the magnets are paired to repel, making the outer magnet press against the side of the dog hole and holding the dog at the desired height. Usually the dogs are held at the correct height with a metal or wood spring which is built into the sides.
