Abstrakt: The article examines through the use of satellite imagery changes in the forests and marshes in the agricultural landscape of the Lower Delmarva Peninsula, with special emphasis on the areas facing the Chesapeake Bay known as the Eastern Shore. Forest composition in the area differs throughout the area largely based upon human intervention and local variations in soil, moisture, nutrients, sunlight and slope. It notes the degradation of coastal marshes throughhout the Chesapeake Bay due to factors such as rising sea level, development and agriculture
