The article reports on the poor uptake of bluetongue vaccine in Great Britain. It is noted that about 10 million doses of the BTV8 vaccination have remained unsold in England, while a further 5.5 million doses have not been used in Wales. Welsh farming minister Elin Jones stated she was not prepared to pick up the bill for any vaccine left on the shelf and threatened to sell unused doses to other European Union member states. |
