| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a case study related to the Druk White Lotus School in Ladakh, India, which is conceived as an entirely sustainable architectural project. The school is in the village of Shey, 15km from the main town Leh. A team of architects and engineers from Arup and Arup Associates has worked on the project. The team went through a challenging learning process to understand construction methods and local materials and also adopt them innovatively into the building design. |
