Abstrakt:	The article discusses the role of electron-capture dissociation (ECD) in peptide analysis and protein identification. The author claims that ECD is an important tool for peptide analysis and protein identification, as well for the characterization of protein post translation modifications. It also says that ECD has several inherent advantages over traditional collision-induced dissociation (CID) that makes it useful for the research.
