Abstrakt: This paper describes the use of the Bayesian inference framework for the design of linear antenna arrays. The principal advantage of using the Bayesian inference framework for array design is that it makes possible the automatic determination of the number of radiators required to meet given design requirements. The inference framework achieves this by making accessible to the array designer powerful computational tools developed for the simultaneous solution of parameter estimation and model selection problems.
