Synthesis of 2,5-bis(butylsulfanyl)-2,3-dihydro-4 H-pyran-2-carbaldehyde acetals and their unexpected isomerization.

Abstrakt: The article presents a study which examines the isomerization and synthesis of 2,5-bis (butylsulfanyl)-2,3-dihydro-4 H-pyran-2-carbaldehyde acetals, to gain new potential biologically active derivatives. It incorporates a Bruker DPX-400 spectrometer in recording the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectra. A high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was also used to separate isomer mixture obtained in the chemical reaction. It was financially backed by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.
