Advocates the external carotid revascularization to correct stenosis and obliterate sources of emboli in symptomatic patients with internal carotid artery (ICA) occlusion. External carotid artery (ECA) reconstruction of patients with global symptoms of cerebral ischemia in the presence of ICA occlusion; Consideration of ECA revascularization on the treatment of relieving or improving late neurologic symptoms. |
