The article presents reports from the various committees of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) with regards to the their activities for the year 2007 and 2008. The Technical Committee on Architectural Acoustical (TCAA) had a successful year, particularly during its Fall 2007 meeting and Spring 2008 meeting. Achieving good classroom acoustics continues to be an important topic that members are advocating. At its Fall 2007 Meeting, Engineering Acoustics (EA) sponsored a special session entitled "Infrasonic Instrumentation." Technical Committee on Musical Acoustics, like the other groups, was well represented at the 155th meeting in terms of special sessions. The independent auditor's report for calendar year ended December 31, 2007 is also presented. |
