Abstrakt:	The article reports on the progress of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' plans for responding to an influenza pandemic. The plans include the analysis of how the department plans to use pharmaceutical interventions to treat infected individuals and protect the critical workforce and the use of nonpharmaceutical interventions to slow the spread of disease. It is recommended that the Health and Human Services should finalize guidance for pharmaceutical interventions.
