The article describes the public worship in Britain during the period between 1830 to 1897. This paper looks into the significance of public activities in the mid nineteenth-century British including state prayers, fasts and thanksgiving. These occasions are given much attention and the government appoints these as momentous events and national orders are set to celebrate them. State-Church relationships were established in this period. Authorities consider the importance of a good relationship with the church. |
