Abstrakt: The article discusses a two-year clinical study of 503 postmenopausal women with severe osteoporosis, with and without antiresorptive treatment with the osteoporosis drug teriparatide. An evaluation of the effect of teriparatide treatment on bone-mass density (BMD) is presented. Changes in BMD baseline levels in the lumbar spine were measured using mixed model repeated measures. A discussion of the results is presented.
