Chapter 5 of the book "Myth and Meaning: A Paradigmatic Analysis of Galdós' Fortunata y Jacinta," by Edith Moss Jackson is presented. It also presents an overview of the chapters one to four of the book. "Diana and Actaeon," Cupid and Psyche" and Demeter's Search for Persephone" were the three key myths that structure the level of the Fortunata y Jacinta. It also suggests that the Fortunata is the modern version of the myth of Demeter. |
